Resident Evil Movies in Order

Earlier, Microsoft announced that the launch of Starfield had a significant impact, leading to a 13% boost in the overall revenue generated from Xbox content and services during the first quarter of Fiscal Year 2024. Now, Capcom has unveiled its latest financial results for the six-month period ending in September. These results showcase notable increases in both income and profit, attributed to the highly successful launches of two of its flagship titles: the Resident Evil 4 remake and Street Fighter 6.

The total number of game sales has risen from 21.3 million units compared to the same period last year, reaching 22.6 million units. This surge in sales has translated into a substantial 53% increase in net sales, soaring from 49,067 million Yen to an impressive 74,934 million Yen. Additionally, Capcom has experienced a commendable 55% growth in operating income.

Capcom attributes this remarkable performance to several key factors, including the release of the Resident Evil 4 remake in March, the launch of Street Fighter 6 on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC in June, and the continued success of its Monster Hunter series.

Resident Evil 4 has achieved impressive sales figures, totaling 5.45 million units, while Street Fighter 6 has garnered a respectable 2.47 million units sold. The popular Monster Hunter Rise, bolstered by its Sunbreak expansion, has crossed the remarkable milestone of 6.5 million units sold. Capcom is also proud to report that its remake of Resident Evil 2 has exceeded 13 million units in sales, while the remake of Resident Evil 3 has achieved a solid 8 million units sold.

In the realm of mobile gaming, Monster Hunter Now, which offers a unique Monster Hunter experience akin to Pokemon Go, has garnered over 10 million downloads from enthusiastic players as of last week.

Capcom further emphasizes the enduring success of its flagship franchises. The entire Resident Evil series has collectively amassed an astounding 150 million units in sales, while the Monster Hunter franchise has surged past the 95 million mark. The iconic Street Fighter series maintains a formidable presence with a substantial 52 million units sold. These remarkable numbers underscore the enduring popularity and influence of these beloved gaming series.
