Activision has recently launched Modern Warfare 3, unveiling the maps that constitute the game’s initial offering. Impressively, this release appears to be a formidable addition to the FPS series, one that could potentially rekindle the interest of returning players.

Modern Warfare 3 Zombies Guide

Modern Warfare 3 Zombies made its debut alongside the main game on November 10, 2023, serving as a dedicated mode within the game. In essence, it shares similarities with DMZ, where players load into the game, complete contracts, and then make their exit with their earned rewards.

Officially known as Operation Deadbolt, Modern Warfare 3 Zombies places Soap and Kate Laswell at the forefront, as they strive to thwart a world-threatening scheme orchestrated by Viktor Zakhaev. After an attempt to pilfer vials of Aetherium, Zakhaev’s operatives inadvertently unleash it in a city, triggering a full-blown outbreak. Your squad’s mission is to contain the situation.

Players will engage in various incursions across multiple zones, with each one ramping up in difficulty. In these areas, you’ll encounter both living adversaries and the undead. Multiple squads will drop in, collaborating in intense PvE combat. The primary objective is to fulfill various tasks and successfully extract with your surviving team members. These tasks encompass a wide range, from straightforward bounties and escort missions to intense horde encounters and more.

Modern Warfare 3 Zombies Map & Details

What’s particularly intriguing about Modern Warfare 3 Zombies and Operation Deadbolt is their setting on the most expansive Zombies map to date. It offers a significantly more open and freeform environment, showcasing a design philosophy reminiscent of last year’s Modern Warfare 2 DMZ mode. The action unfolds in Urzikstan, the upcoming Warzone map, providing multiple entry points into buildings and various approaches to objectives. This design choice is well-suited for accommodating multiple squads in each match.

In this mode, you can recruit any unlocked Operator to join your Strike Team. Each recruited Operator comes equipped with their own set of “On-Soldier” Gear. You have access to all Operators unlocked in both Modern Warfare II and Modern Warfare III, with two additional Operators, Ripper and Scorch, available upon completing specific challenges within the Zombies mode.

Each Strike Team Operator can be selected and customized with five distinct Equipment Slots. The Gear you acquire during missions is stored here, encompassing a range of items such as Killstreaks, Armor, Gas Masks, and Medical supplies.

Is Split-Screen Co-Op Available for Playing Modern Warfare 3 Zombies?

Regrettably, at its launch, Modern Warfare 3 Zombies does not support split-screen co-op gameplay. There hasn’t been any official communication regarding the possibility of its inclusion in the future.
